• A real-time AI kiosk system where customers interact with a lip-synced digital avatar that recognizes their face, detects their emotion, and answers questions about the restaurant menu using voice, video, and text simultaneously.
• • Designed the end-to-end pipeline from raw PCM audio capture → VAD → Whisper STT → RAG → LLM → TTS → IPA phonemes → forced alignment → viseme animation
• • Fixed 6 silent production bugs that caused the avatar to never speak on any machine other than the original developer's
• • Refactored all heavy AI inference off the async event loop and implemented shared model singletons to scale beyond 2-3 concurrent users
• • Built the frontend viseme consumer from scratch: WebSocket push delivery + polling fallback + setTimeout-driven mouth animation across 22 viseme IDs
