- Develop and maintain CometChat's open-source React Native UI Kit, delivering production-ready chat components adopted by 1,000+ clients worldwide with 1,000+ weekly npm downloads, across 20 releases.
- Contribute to the React Native Chat SDK — real-time messaging APIs, reliability improvements, and a smoother developer integration experience for a product powering in-app chat at global scale.
- Built offline caching for the CometChat SDK using SQLite with SQLCipher encryption on both Android and iOS, loading cached chats in under 1 second versus 5-6 seconds over the network.
- Built an AI agent for group messages that surfaces responses as inline, feed-style card messages in the chat, similar to WhatsApp, used by customers for advertising feeds.
- Implemented end-to-end push notifications using FCM for Android and APNs for iOS, including VoIP push (PushKit/CallKit) for reliable incoming-call alerts in the background and killed states.
- Built native bridges between React Native and platform code, integrating Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C) native packages for platform-specific functionality.
- Worked on CometChat Extensions on the backend — Node.js REST API services that add extra platform features (e.g. rich messaging capabilities) on top of core chat.
